Maybe there is or maybe this is just Scotland. And of course Edinburgh in August.
Rain has been part of Scotland's heritage for many millions of years.
Tiny interesting fact; the Scottish Highlands used to be higher than the Himalaya's. But the weather has taken it's toll on even them.
So a few days of rain may dampen the street, but not the spirit of the street. And all the joy that is spread by street performance will warm even the coldest parts of peoples lives.
A smile, a laugh, a moment of joy lives on. Something to carry into the warmth of all our lives and share with those that never felt the cold or the wet where that moment was born.
